Baby-Led Piano®: Stepping Skipping and Staying

The first songbook with sheet music, modified for very young learners and their grownups.

Using the Free-clef staff (two lines and one space) this fun book contains simple songs that are fun to sing and to play on the three black keys (triplets or Frog Sharp tune-up,) Cat Tune-up, Frog Tune-up, or Garage Tune-up. 

Transposing is introduced, and becomes an integral part of music reading. Transposing encourages intervalic playing, which is not only easier than playing letter by letter, it's more intuitive, and more conducive to advanced playing.

The ABC's will eventually be learned, but the default method of note reading using this method will be shapes and sounds, resulting in more ease as music becomes increasingly challenging.

Very basic rhythms are used in these simple songs, using quarter notes and rests, eighth notes, half notes and rests, dotted half notes and rests, and whole notes and rests.
